Wake Me Up When September Ends
Good Green Day song...it's been a busy month so far, everything starting up again. School...two of them, plus different times and bus schedules, teachers...it's a little crazy, but we're getting it all ironed out. We actually went into the stadium just down the street that we've been past a jillion times now. We went to a band festival and saw many familiar faces in doing so. Don't know if we'll be watching our kids there in a few years but it could happen. We went to a great picnic on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and Jon actually sang one of his songs for an audience of probably one hundred or so (most of which were complete strangers to us). Everyone listened up and cheered and a few young children even came up to him after to hug and compliment him. It was pretty neat & he was impressive (as usual)!

Labor Day Travels
We headed to central PA for Labor Day weekend and the first Penn State game of the season. We saw a strong start from a new freshman quarterback and had smoked wings at our tailgate...NICE! My mom-in-law threw a fun skype shower for the next great expectation of the family coming soon! Wendi & Adam opened gifts, gave us a tour of their baby room and their kitties as part of a long distance shower. On Sunday, Jon made homemade pumpkin ice cream and we had another fun get together with more family. Football weather followed us in for the weekend so we enjoyed this cool start to fall and September...just before the start of school!
Canadian Update
After Niagara Falls, we headed north for Carriage Ridge. I am being beckoned so must be brief now. There are some pictures at our resort, the Ontario Science Center, our quick stop in downtown Toronto and then our day at Marineland before we headed back across the border. Lots of fun to be had in Canada...they would tell us on the radio that it woud be 32 degrees but it would feel like 40 (which is more like 90 degrees for us) and you could drive 100 (km/hr) there!
