This weekend was all about parties...some we weren't able to make, some we were and some we just threw for ourselves because that's the way we roll as a cool family. First off it was our hot air ballon pilot's retirement. After ballooning for 20 yrs, she finished out her run (actually it would technically be flights). We had crewed for her since Jesse was a baby...about seven years. We were all lucky enough to go up and fly with her which was great fun. It was a nice celebration and as Ginny and I are former co-workers, I got to catch up with many other 'old' SAE friends. The only picture we captured though was of the boys getting their groove on the dance floor.
We also hit a pumpkin patch before the season passed us by. It had been many years since we went to Reilly's so it seemed like all new fun for the boys. It was a joy watching them select pumpkins and choose a few games to play. They got to feed goats, sheep & potbelly pigs too which they loved. Not sure when the carving will take place, but now we at least have the resources required!
