Operation: Red Belt
It seems that the last few testing days, we have been pulled in separate directions. However, this one worked out so that we could all be there AND it was a big one. Red belt changes their class schedule AND is the last belt before black! It is likely that they will be able to test and earn their black belt next fall...exciting.
This is Missy posting by the way, even though it says Jon. Right now, we are having difficulty reassigning our author email accounts so until we figure it out, his account works better so that is what we're using.
I wanted to post these pictures and update now as the boys are currently in Nebraska, due back tomorrow. I would imagine they will have LOTS of pictures and updates to post from their exciting and exhausting trip so I'm trying to stay ahead of the game...the game being the PSU home opener Labor Day weekend. Well, we are ahead of that, but that isn't really what I mean. I'm just excited for fall & Penn State football. This summer fried my brain a little more than usual, so I need the cool down and am ready to appreciate the soothing autumn leaves of many colors.
So, back to my mission...to post a few pictures from Jon and Eric's red belt certification ceremony.

Reunion in Sugar Grove
We got to catch up with some of my family at a picnic on Saturday. There was good food and fun games. It is always fun to see how the kids grow...especially as Eric has a cousin that was born just a few days after him. Jesse and Joe are only a couple of months different in age too. Miss Angie has become very talkative and interactive, so it was fun trying to keep up with her. So, here are a few shots from that day. It rained a bit, but for the most part it really was a beautiful day.
Scout Camp
This year Jon got to 'observe' a bit more than in the past which allowed him to capture much of their week in pictures. It certainly looks like they kept busy with lots of fun activities. Jesse is now a Weblo I and his Dad was his tent-mate.
Meanwhile, Eric spent the week at Grandma and Grandpa's...along with the dogs. He enjoyed some time with his great grandparents as well. It sounds like riding in Grandpa's BIG work truck was one of his favorite moments in his many adventures.
At the end of the week, they all spent some time together before heading home/back to ME! & I missed them all!!!
