Monday: Destination Legoland
We headed to Carlsbad on Monday morning. We used the GPS we borrowed which successfully took us straight to the employee entrance. Although this was a road less traveled, we re-navigated ourselves (definitely not because we wanted to pay for parking) to the main entrance for our day of fun. Our first stop was for the boys to get their driver licenses. Last time, they were in separate courses because of age. This time they were together and the chase was on. Next, we competed on the pumper trucks...Eric & I against Jesse & Daddy. Eric and I got to the rescue site first, Jesse's aim put out the fire first but Eric and I got our pumper truck back just a little quicker...but we were exhausted! We rode a dragon roller coaster and pedal lego cars and walked through the mini lego land which included the new Star Wars scenes. However, the boys probably looked forward to shopping in the big souvenir shops the most. The park itself was not as exciting to them as it was the first time we were there (2006), but they do have lots of neat things to see and it was undeniably a beautiful day. We ended with dinner at Fridays...even if it was only Monday.
