An Eggciting Easter Trip

We did alot of that this past weekend...& we were due. It had been quite awhile since we were all out east. The boys were so anxious they "called ahead" and were "delivered" a day earlier. The girls, Jon & I then came out Friday afternoon. Saturday we visited the great grandparents, attended a (packed) community egg hunt and visited Nana. On Sunday, we had a wonderful family feast which was very yummy and nice. The boys had another egg hunt and enjoyed color coordinated treats in their filled baskets....edible grass sounds interesting, but not really. It seemed as tasty as the normal plastic grass would likely be. All in all, it was a good trip...including not one but TWO trips to Ye Old Dog House...yummity-yum-yum!

As SOON as we got back, there was a knocking at our door as their faraway visiting friends were in from Ohio to visit their grandpa next door. So they've been out and about playing with them as much as possible. My decision to take Monday off turned out to be very wise as it was the Pirate season opener (makes work crazy and parking impossible) and gave me ease of mind in knowing I didn't have to instantly return to the grind...I only postponed the inevitable but it was still a good day (mostly) off. The bank even called to check up on me :)
